when are you .. ? how are you .. ?
i guess it's because digital camera's are so affordable these days, that everyone seems to have one, and because everyone seems to have one, most of those people have a website or photojournal...
my question is - does having a digital camera and a photolog make you a 'photographer'? when is the line crossed from 'happy snapper' to 'amateur photographer' or 'arty/serious photographer'? is there such thing or is it just personal opinion?
not a real serious question, but it's like every site i visit nowadays has a 'photo gallery' section to it (including mine, haha).

The thought of so many people out and about taking photographs is great. And there are plenty of wonderful photos on the web.
By definition, I'm not a professional photographer because no one buys my photos. What label that places me under, I'm unsure. It's a hobby that I have a passion for, and that's good enough for me. :)

Everybody takes pictures and thinks they're a photographer. It doesn't seem like a hard art, but there's a thing called talent some people lack but THINK they have. I've seen yours...You have real talent. :)

real photographers see the art & beauty in their subjects & surroundings
everyone else sees an interesting picture.
something along the lines of that. but there is a difference between real photographers and regular snappers.

i agree about the talent thing. either you got it or you don't. and you DO!!! anybody who snaps pics can call themselves a photographer, but it takes real talent to see things and represent them in a unique way, and that makes you an artist. :)

I love a photographer who will delve far beneath the surface of the image, and take you into a parallel universe.
