2004 goals

i decided that this year i'm going to actually do stuff. yeah, i just got married and that's a big thing too - but for a long time i've put off things that i really want to do. no time, no money.. well still no money but now that the wedding is well and truly out of the way, i'm going to do what i want to do!

get fit
i'm less than svelt these days, not calling myself blubber but i can stand to get into shape again. i stopped working out around the wedding because things were busy but now i'm back into it! this year, it's pilates! it's only been 2 weeks since i started, but we've already noticed some toning woohoo! i'm not looking to lose any/much weight since i'm doing good and i work out better at home, so the dvd has been great for me. plus, it makes my cheesecake intake feel better. yumm.

open up an online store
i think for about a year and a half i wanted to do this, people have been asking me for prints and such from shutterbug so i'm going to put it into motion. my goal is to have this up by the end of the month! (leave a comment and let me know whether you think it's a good idea, k?). i've already started to re-design the site so that it's more integrated and professional looking

get published
a big big task, but i've got the whole year to do this. i want my photographs out there! i want to pick up a magazine and turn to page whatever and see it there - small size, full page i don't care.

go on holiday
holy moly, this should be number 1 though the money thing comes into play. we didn't get much rest over our christmas/new years vacation so ultimately we want to get away before the end of the year. a trip to the states is still in our plan but i don't know how much time i can take off work ...

you never know what comes around the corner, so the list might get bigger (or smaller again) as the months go by. i definately know that if you want to get something in life, you go ahead and do it. otherwise you'll wind up 10 years from now going 'what happened??'.

is there anything that you guys want to do this year especially?

p.s. i'm working on those photos! soon soon. tommorrow?

...of course I think an online store is a wonderful idea!! Your photos are lovely and I know there's a big demand on them. I need to start working out again too. When school started, that messed me up a bit, but I'll get back to it ;)

Ah! I opened a "store" but no one was really really interested. Ah it's ok. Maybe we could do a swap sometime? You should open one, though, I'm sure you'll do spendidly! And I have the same goal about getting published.. I want to too! We can do it together! :D Ya!

write my movie, play out more, write more in general, come up with an idea for an original and worthwhile undergraduate thesis, talk to tracey more, make plans for living either in seattle, montreal, nyc, or uh somewhere else after i graduate, get a job this summer that i won't hate even if i don't make as much money, fall in love, continue working out, obtain better clothes, become an aristocratic dandy posing as an expatriate philosopher/novelist in paris. okay, the last one can wait.

I think the store's a good idea. Your photography is creative and definitely deserves to be displayed proudly in someone else's home.

I wish you all the best in your goals, Tracey, especially in getting published! I'm sure you'll make it. :)

learn to play an instrument that doesn't require the mouth (with the exception of the flute! and instruments such as: guitar, drums and piano), publish some kind of novel/book, practice writing, do some karate or pilates classes, travel (although i'm a bit young to do that), spend a couple weeks in drama camp, stop procrastinating, stop going on the computer so much, write a movie which may really suck, move to london to make myself feel better, and last but not least: become a young actress. i doubt the last one.
yup, i'm pretty much done writing all my 2004 goals. i have my whole life ahead of me; it can wait.
as everyone alse had said: make an online store! i would most definitely buy posters, calendars and cards...!

the store is an excellent idea. maybe it could afford you that vacation!

my plans this year are to concentrate my being into my art, so far so good. my other goal is to move to colorado with my buddy.
