weekends are for rest & play

since friday i've been computer free, so i haven't been around to tend to thing around here. it's a good thing though! five out of seven days i'll spend 12+ hours here - and it's starting to drive me nuts!

last night, Regan and i headed out to the royal easter show as planned. since it was his first, we spent a little time going around to see all the animals before it got dark. we did the usual 'look at everything' and headed out to the showbag pavilion which has given us instant cavities :P we're sharing the coke bag, freddo frog bag, starburst, natural confectionary, wonka bag and Regan got his bag of kids musical instruments :D we actually didn't up spending a whole lot which was good, plus we walked away with some krispy kreme since they set up shop at the show!

my favourite part of the show this year was taking some night shots (i didn't get many daylight shots and actually i didn't even fill up my memory card which is really strange for me...). i'll post some of my photographs later in the week.. i haven't been home to see them on the computer yet! (side note, i've posted up a few photos i took last week or so at my parents place, i was really suprised how clear they came out with the close up filter (it usually fuzzes around the edges) and i really love this set).

somewhere in between all the driving around and easter show shanannigans, i managed to get hooked on the 'hot date' expansion pack for the sims. uh oh. it spells trouble alright! i'm addicted to planning out the little restaurants and shops and things.. even so, i've gotten out my grid book and ruler and draw it out if i don't want to be on the computer. ooooh dear.

The Hot Date expansion pack IS trouble. You may or may not be amused to the fact that you can actually make the characters, ahem, have sex. To do so, they must be in a hot tob or that crazy ugly vibrating heart bed. You will literally see them get naked, too...Of course it's all blurry.....And did you know that you can do guy on guy and girl on girl action, too?? Unfortunately, I have a rather twisted brother who had a blast with that......Sorry to babble.... :)

I havent played the SIMs for ages. Only yesterday, me and my friend bought the whole Expansion set.. (all up till Supastar) -
EB is having a sale any 2 games 4 $50!

Cant wait to dig into it tonight! Heard its very addictive.. I hope it doesnt distract me too much from my studies ;) haha.

I can't get into SIMS. Maybe it's because of all the decisions you have to make or that they cuss me out in their little retarded language. I got frustrated that my SIM kept peeing on the floor and not taking the garbage out. ugh.

My ex-bf bought me the SIMs, but then it was in my CD case with my music CD's which got stolen from my hotel room. I had the SIMs for a total of about a week :(

I think we're heading out to the Easter show this weekend - with the 50,000 billion others who will be I guess! :) We're both show newbies, so should be fun.

lol lol.. i loved playing the sims with the expansion packs. i borrowed them from my bf's sister; she had everything except the vacation, superstar, and the now new makin' magic expansion sets.

she just recently bought the sims: bustin' out for gamecube though.. and it looks awesome. like, you actually have GOALS to the game besides life on a daily basis.. you start off living at your parent's house and have to complete goals to move out, etc.. craziness. :) and fun.

Gardd I was hooked on The Sims for a while... but the expansion packs just got too much!!
I'm still pondering the purchase of the Sims 2!! (their moods change on the weather, they age, 3D graphics!! hehe how irresistable)

I made it out to the show yesterday(Good Friday) for the first time in about 20 years. I think the nice sunny day had about half of sydney there.

I wandered thru the show bag pavilion but only to take a few pics so my teeth will be safe :)

Looking forward to seeing your nite pics from the show. I am thinking of heading back out there some time over the weekend (at nite) to do some pics around Sideshow Alley
