i'm thinking

56k ...

is

so

slow.

how did we EVER use it before? 10 mins to open ANYTHING half way, haha.

at least it gives me time to brush up on my 'free cell' and 'solitaire' moves.

I agree. I remember I used to have a book on the desk and I would read a lot while the pages were loading.

brian, great article! we've been thinking this way too now (my husband and i), we're finding that we WANT to spend more time offline now that 45.2K's doesn't get us anywhere fast

that being said - i work from this computer, and work is getting the short end of the stick. after 6pm, i'm offline anyway!

I hate to admit this but I'm still on dial up. I'm one of those e-mail and web browsing types that's why. And I get to surf at work (were on a T1) so it's no prob to me. It gets frustrating sometimes when I can't view a video that's being linked. ;^)
