everything's O.K.

finally feeling better from last weekend's weird trip into painville. i had a few tests done (and am still waiting on more results) but the doc thinks maybe i have a stomach ulcer, which would explain years of stomachy problems. i feel great now though, i'm just glad it's over (for now).

mischa at 22 weeksi've just booked in Mischa to be desexed next week, eeep! my little girl's growing up! she'd been really quiet over the weekend, and threw up a couple times yesterday but she's back to normal bouncy Mischa which is a relief! my friends and i are trying to get all ourselves and our pups together for a dog day out, which should be alot of fun. Regan and I took her to a friend's BBQ on the weekend and Mischa met a bunny! she had NO IDEA what it was though :P

i find myself really really looking forward to the weekends now. the work i do full time isn't stimulating anymore, yet i'll still do it and do the best for my clients. do you think sometimes we're suckers for schedules and cycles?

still looking for that lamp.

our computer crashed out on us over the weekend and i'm trying desperately to remember all my bookmarks again, since it ate them all.

need to get a move on with the redesign for my wedding photography site.

Regan and I did the mother-of-all cleanups with the apartment last week, we actually live like normal adults now! nice a neat and clean and you can see the carpet! haha.

been taking the 50mm out for a walk lately, i'm starting to really love primes.

Desexed, lol. That's funny! I needed that, lol.

She will be sore for the first couple of days. Make sure she doesn't try to scratch her stitches. I got my beagle "desexed" when she was 6 months, and you can't even see her scar now (she's 1 now). She'll be fine!

Re: your stomach problems. I highly recommend getting some Slippery Elm Powder. You only take like a teaspoon, mixed with a tiny tiny bit of water, mix into gel consistency and then eat with yoghurt or something like that. Best 3 times a days, but if you can't do that, then do it between meals when you think about it. It will help you. My sister is a naturopath/homeoepath/herbalist and it has worked for me and other people i know. get on to it - you only have 1 stomach.

I love the Pics, what's the secret ?? All my pics really do look like snapshots. Got a cannon EOS 1000F & a fuji finepics s3000, but can't seem to take any nice pics. Maybe I just don't have "the eye".....

I think I saw something like that lamp at Bayswiss or some other housey stuff place at Fox Studios??? I think it was near the Ritz cinema? I can't remember exactly which store, and not even sure it was a lamp, but looked v. much like the picture. Maybe it was just a mobile??? I saw it and immediately thought of you! :)

thanks Emily :) i think it'll be ok ... you don't call it desexing over there? hehe i think it's spayed or neuteured, right?

Dani, thank you for that too! I didn't know about Slippery Elm Powder - but I definately will look for it now. Anything for my stomach!

Petrice - ooooh, I definately have to pop into Fox then! It may be Bay Swiss, they have alot of Indonesian made stuff - which i think the lamp could be. Thanks for thinking of me :D

Oh, that's what you actually call it? I thought you were joking, lol! Yeah, it's spay/neuter here. Us silly Americans. :)

Hey Tracey --
Re: Spam on MovableType

I was reading about MT just now over some blogs/websites, and I'm not sure if they've updated or if this is a new thing or plug-in or what, but SixApart has a comment-registration thing called TypeKey where a user only has to sign in once, but then uses that same log-in on ALL MovableType blogs. Apparently, this prevents tons of spam, and you set your blog to only accept TypeKey comments (the spam ones are not TypeKey). Maybe you could look into that?

What a cute picture. That bunny is HUGE.

Take it easy. Good to know that you've found the cause of your health issues.

The primes are ace in my book. The wide fast apertures are the go. Even if I'm sacrificing some flexibilty. I can always crop it later.

Prime lenses are the best! I've a 50mm lens and it's by far my favourite. Although I do find it tight in certain situations. Am thinking of getting a 20mm one.

Your pictures are gorgeous, as usual.

shar, my prob with MT was that it was giving me 404's on the comments files aswell as all that spam -- so i don't know whether i'll bother with typekey :(
