blah.

still having a hard time coming off bcp. i'm very very tired now (on top of the nausea, backaches, cramps and hunger pains) and i feel like i've been beat up inside. lovely! will be seeing my doc about this on the weekend because i'm starting to not cope at all. there's only so much a girl can go through! it's been more than 2 weeks of this now - every day, constantly.

has anyone else had a hard time coming off birth control pills? can you share your story please?

anyway, if i know me, i'll pull myself out of the funk eventually. it's not all doom and gloom (though it feels like it)!

had a lovely lunch visit to IKEA yesterday with jamieanne. didn't go nuts with the spending, but i did get 2 cute little cups for $1.90 each (down from $5.90!). they're kind of like this but more irregularly shaped. i'll have to take a photo of them later.(here it is!). had a bit of sushi for lunch as i drove home (yes, i was eating while driving.. bad bad tracey) and then returned to work for the rest of the afternoon/evening.

thank god it's thursday, almost the weekend!

Hey there! I had a terrible time going off my bcp... I felt bloated, I had nausea and I was so cranky. Plus, it took 49 days for my period to arrive! It was a nightmare...
But I also figure out that, once your body gets used to the change, it will get easier. Good luck!

oh so that's why we didn't see you at bowling. sorry to hear you feeling so bad.

never had any trouble coming off and in fact this is the normal state your body should be in....i'm really anti BCP because it really means that the woman is in a kind of limbo and natural rhythms are destroyed. all i can say is, just try to embrace the new changes...it may be difficult but that cannot last long. your body is trying to find it's equilibrium, and that cannot be a bad thing. what is bad is exactly how intense those drugs have been that you're finding it hard coming off them. after 8 years of living in a bubble, the day i stopped takeing BCP i felt like i became me again with the undulating rhythms of my cycle each month being a sign that everything is normal again.

thanks for the comments :)

luckily it's starting to get better for me - after 3 weeks, i'm starting to feel more myself again. i do feel lucky that it's snapped back so quickly compared to millions of other women out there.

Hey.

I hope this is all right, only I'm looking for my friend Tracey who lived in Sydney last I heard from her (which was way too long ago). If that's you... Could you let me know?

If it's not, I'm really sorry.

It was terrible for me too, but I've been off them for years and I'm glad. You'll eventually adjust. I still get backaches every month though. It sucks!
