what's a long weekend without a little stomach cramping
apart from the last 18 hours or so, i had a great long weekend! it's always a nice feeling when you have a few days in a row to do whatever you want :)
saturday was the gluten free expo which was so fun to attend. i managed to buy a small selection of new mixes and biscuits to munch on over the next few weeks. i'm glad i went early, because by the time i left the place was packed with people and i kept knocking into them with one of my huge bags full of cookies. (sorrry). i know you can find gluten free food in the fruit & veg aisle of the supermarket, but a girl's gotta spice it up every now and then. (unfortunately, i think this 'spicing' has given me the worse bout of stomach cramps i've had lately. i think i've figured it out though ..)
watched the afl grand final, which is unusual for me since i don't follow sports. was a great game though, the better team on the day won so i'm not bitter ;)
later that night, i caught up with some friends - Prasangi is now 7 months along and looking great! it was cool to see Aislin again after her 6 month stint in the UK, working. her wedding is in 2 months, so december will be busy for them both.
sunday, we spent it with my parents - who are leaving to go to malaysia again tommorrow. dad took us over to the cabramatta moon festival for a walk around. it was realllly hot when we arrived, but i had a good time walking through and seeing what had changed since the last time i was there (maybe 3-4 years ago?). Mischa had stayed at the house with mum and got haircut, as she does every week. spoke to my lovely sister Hayley who will be home in 2 months!
managed to get 2 rolls of film shot and developed. the new camera worked out great in the end, even though i had major troubles with the first 2 rolls i had put through it. i've been so interested in cheaper film cameras lately, just wait for the new one coming soon ...
yesterday i finally got around to throwing out all the food i'm not supposed to have around - flour, cereals, sauces that all have wheat or yeast in it. we were thinking of getting the kitchen upgraded for more space, but i don't think we need to do that anymore! lol.
i've spent most of last night up watching oprah and passions, trying to take my mind off the pain so i'm pretty tired this morning. i'll be OK though, like i said before, i think i know what's going on so i'm not worried. just sleepy. i'll tell you one thing though, thank god it's already tuesday.
