more vicious than rape
I think there are alot of things in the world that we don't know about. Terrible atrocities that are inflicted on the world's men, women and children. I don't pretend to know about every single thing in this world, but what I do know is that you should treat people the way you want to be treated.
There have been articles and segments on tv about women who suffer from fistulas, and the treatment of these women if they cannot be cured at one of the few hospitals that specialise. Fistulas were commonly tied to difficult or abnormal childbirths - but now they are reporting fistulas from violent rape, which was unheard of up until recently. Newsweek have an article online that you can read if you want to know a bit more about why I'm talking about this on my blog today.
These women, children, and even babies are treated like garbage before and after their ordeal and to me it's mind boggling how anyone can treat another human being this way.
Like I said, I don't claim to be anyone on a mission with volumes of knowledge on what to do. But if someone else reading this can remember these women, and children, and perhaps donate a slice of their time, money or effort towards them also, then maybe this world can be a smaller place and we can reach out to them just as easily as we reach out for that morning coffee.
