We’re having so much fun this summer holiday that I don’t want it to end – getting back into the routine and schedules is inevitable but what gets us through is planning fun stay-cation’s in our hometown in the near future.

Our first big mark on the calender is for Target’s Kids Day Out Festival here in Sydney.

The Kids Day Out Festival brings together the biggest names in kids entertainment for one MASSIVE EVENT! Packed with non-stop entertainment, your TIX gets you a full day of entertainment with over 40+ attractions

The festival will be held on Saturday 3rd March 2012 at Sydney Olympic Park which has a huge 18,000 venue (it’s where the Royal Easter Show is held each year). There’s family picnic areas, indoor rides, roving entertainers, a marketplace, pram parking and character meets.

Over 34 children’s performers will be entertaining us in morning and afternoon sessions, including Lunar Jim, Banana’s in Pyjamas, Dirt Girl, Jimmy Giggle (Hoot will be asleep sadly!), Shaun the Sheep, Postman Pat and my very favourite (I mean the kids favourite… of course) Yo Gabba Gabba!

There’s so much to do and see – it’ll be a great day out for the family :) I’ll be heading in with my 4 year old son – I can’t wait!

Tickets are $45 (until Tue 31 Jan, then will rise to $50), and you can buy them through any Moshtix outlet. Doors open at 9:30am and the event finishes at 4pm.

There will be plenty of parking at the venue (there is a free tram ride from the P1 parking area to the venue and parking is $20 a day), or another great option is to take the train into Homebush train station and walk 1 minute to the grounds. (For those travelling in to Sydney, the Novotel Sydney Olympic Park is right on the doorstep and would be a great place to stay!)

Please make sure to bring your hats and sunscreen :)
