Today is Red Nose Day in Australia!
Red Nose Day, held annually on the last Friday in June, is the major fundraiser for SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) and Kids. Funds raised through Red Nose Day activities assist SIDS and Kids in providing vital services and programs to the Australian community.
In 2012, they’re celebrating the 25th year of fundraising – a great effort and an important one too!
Proceeds from Red Nose Day goes straight into our local communities, in services such as support groups for families following the sudden and unexpected death of a baby, infant or child – 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. They also help fund vital education to thousands of parents, carers and professional on reducing the risk of SIDS, aswell as research into the causes and prevention of sudden and unexpected death of babies during pregnancy, birth, infancy and childhood.
So what can you do today to help?
You can even help them get to 25,000 ‘Red Nose Me‘ pictures by adding your picture to the gallery –
Harvey Norman will donate $1 for the first 25,000 photos added to the Red Nose Me gallery, so go ahead and get your red nose on!
