How cool is this Taga bicycle? I’ve been searching online for bicycles & safe child seat options, having 2 small kids I want to be able to take both of them on rides but unfortunately there’s not alot of options. (Just the 1 trailer type child capsule). The Taga bicycle allows you to transform your Taga system from a bike to a stroller (double seat options) to a shopping cart and then back to a bike again! From their website – Imagine a day-to-day scenario: You leave your home in the suburbs with your lovely child and your Taga. You ride together to the train station, convert Taga to a stroller and jump on the train. When reaching the central station, you convert Taga again to a bike and ride to the city park. On the way, you enter with your Taga into a café to have a drink. After having fun in the park, you ride to the shopping area, enter the department store with your Taga to buy some candies and gifts for your child’s birthday. Being tired, your child falls asleep in his seat. No problem – you switch modes again while your child is still sleeping [...]

From their website –
Imagine a day-to-day scenario:
You leave your home in the suburbs with your lovely child and your Taga.

You ride together to the train station, convert Taga to a stroller and jump on the train. When reaching the central station, you convert Taga again to a bike and ride to the city park.

On the way, you enter with your Taga into a café to have a drink.

Being tired, your child falls asleep in his seat. No problem – you switch modes again while your child is still sleeping and you ride on your Taga back home.

It’s such a great idea not only to get some exercise, but great as an option when we want to leave the car at home and take advantage of the great Australian weather we have. I also like that it changes as your family grows, so you can use it from birth and until they’re ready to ride their own bike. It has been safety tested in Europe and is the only product in the world that complies with both stroller and bicycle standards. Maximum age and weight limits are noted here.

You can buy the Taga online via their website.

The Wooden double seat, shopping basket, 2nd Child Seat and other accessories are available online also seperately if you want to upgrade/change later down the track.

The Taga will be at the Sydney Baby & Toddler Show 30th September to 2nd October 2011. I will definately be checking this out in person. (I’m looking forward to getting back outdoors with the kids this spring & summer!)

You can find out more about the Taga via their website.

At the recent Kids In Style Expo in Sydney, I couldn’t help but stop and talk to Lambini about the gorgeous baby papoose in their range. It’s the ultimate luxury for both parent and baby! The papoose is made from natural fibres which is important for babies. Your baby will be so snug and happy within the soft lambswool – which also converts into a pram liner or car seat liner (very handy when out and about). The Lambini baby papoose is easy and comfortable to wear, and the recommended maximum weight is 22lbs (10kg). Suitable for babies with minimum weight of 3.5kgs (8 pounds) – which conforms to the British (BS EN 13209) and American Safety Standards. To find out more about the Lambini Baby Papoose or to purchase online, please visit their website – lambini.com.au
