after finding a chinese restaurant we could eat at, eating a lovely meal and having a great family talk.. there was a traditional chinese lion dance. it was alot of fun to see them up close and dancing right up to our table, more fun seeing a lion cuddle up to my mum!
of course, i had my lomo in my hand so hopefully i’ll get a shot to post. reminds me of the time when we were little and the lion dance was the scariest (but most fun) thing to see. especially those loud crackers
possibly my two favourite things i’ve made in the past two days, a white corduroy clutch bag with a rough patch and a leather cuff with astroboy watch face. very very cool stuff that i haven’t been able to put down since!
just like everyone, i’ve heard about what happened today and i wanted to make a little ‘positive’ comment. while it is a horrible thing for everyone involved to go through (and i never wish that upon anyone to experience), these people died doing something they loved. they got to fulfil their dreams and go into space – not many people get to do that in their whole lives. i’m not saying that ‘oh well, at least they got to go into space’, i’m saying that from the moment they got into that shuttle they were doing something they worked so hard for and their families should be proud of them. i’m just sorry it ended the way it did
