yesterday Regan and I took Jasper into the city for the first time, to meet Regan’s work friends. i hadn’t been into the city since we moved out 4 or so months ago, so it was really cool to ‘go back’ and see things again. we didn’t stay long (it was hot hot hot yesterday!) but since i have more time off now, i’ll definately go back in for a longer visit. <\/p>\n
last night, i managed to drag my butt out for a few hours for the first time all year it seems (since i’d been pregnant february-november). an old friend of mine is visiting from the uk and a couple of my friends were meeting at a local hot-spot pub\/bar\/club thing that i’d never been too, so i made the extra effort to get out. i don’t know, seeing my friends was awesome of course, but the whole scene was just really .. not me. i don’t think it was ever me, i don’t like the sleazy men making sleazy comments, i don’t drink, i don’t smoke, it smelt like body odour wherever i turned. the girls where all young and workin’ it in their gorgeous (and not so gorgeous) teeny tiny dresses, i just wanted to sit and talk to my friends and not have to scream over the music. i felt about 6 years too old to be there. <\/p>\n
i got home and held onto Regan like the stink on those sweaty boys skin. <\/p>\n
