this afternoon i had my first appointment at the hospital where i’ll give birth to our bubba \ud83d\ude42 it’s a different hospital to the one where Jasper was born, so i’ve been feeling a bit anxious about going there since i’ve always had my mind set on something else. <\/p>\n
but there was nothing to worry about \ud83d\ude42 as soon as i pulled into the grounds, positives starting flowing <\/p>\n
1. easy parking – no queuing, no endless circling of the lot trying to find a free space (i would have to arrive 1-2 hours early to get a spot at the other hospital, or park 10 mins away .. not good for a pregnant lady!)
\n2. the hospital was built\/re-done in the last 8 years so it’s nice and new still
\n3. the waiting line at the clinic was minimal, the waiting room was nice and quiet – people were there but there wasn’t heaps of people just standing around because they’ve run out of chairs
\n4. the staff were really friendly and nice – though i’ve found that midwives\/nurses are always nice and do an awesome job!
\n5. the facilities were close – i didn’t have to go searching and searching for the clinic, pathology or imaging <\/p>\n
all-in-all, i’m happy with my care so far so it’s a huge relief! i’ve even been submitted to the birthing centre (as opposed to the birthing unit or labour and delivery section of the hospital), which will mean low intervention and midwife care. i’m very excited about that! \ud83d\ude42 we do the tour in a couple of weeks so it will be nice to check it out and make sure it ticks all my boxes <\/p>\n
