i’ve been thinking alot about it lately – how wonderful it would be to not be restricted to gluten free, yeast free food.. <\/p>\n

and it’s not the ability to just eat whatever i wanted (because i would cartwheel for a really decent cheeseburger right about now). what it comes down to, is the feeling of family and being a part of something. the more i think about it, the more i believe i am a pain in the ass, always asking whether things are gluten free or not going out to eat because it’s not gluten free. i’m tired of asking my friends, my family to check the ingredients. <\/p>\n

don’t get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with a gluten free lifestyle<\/strong>. there are some really delicious gluten free, yeast free products out there – and of course i would stay gluten free my entire life if i had to, no problems. but i dream about the freedom of sitting around the table at yum cha, and eating<\/em>. grabbing lunch ANYWHERE and not picking through the menu only to discover that water will be my meal. being able to eat christmas lunch with my family, and share what they’re having. <\/p>\n

at this point, there’s no way i would just ‘try eating some bread and see what happens’. 1. i’m pregnant; and 2. i know what happens. i don’t believe i have coeliac disease<\/a>, though i do need to be tested and that needs to happen ON gluten. <\/p>\n

i think after the baby arrives and i’ve recovered my balance a bit, i’ll look into seeing someone about allergy elimination. i’m a bit wary of woo-woo doctors, but i am willing to at least give it a go … i guess i am after a definitive answer – am i gluten free for life? <\/em><\/p>\n
