the phone rang late last night, and it was my dad. i stood at the door while i listened to my mother talk to him and continually say ‘doctor’ and ‘is it bad?’ and it confused me, but when i got talking to him he didn’t want to talk about what happened. my mum told me what happened tonight, and he’s doing okay.
