Show us the suburb\/town\/city where you live, the good, the bad and the ugly. Maximum 10 images. It doesn&#8217;t matter if you&#8217;re using the latest greatest DSLR or a 5 year old mobile phone camera, this one is all about getting outside and showing us your world.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Sydney. what can i say about Sydney other than i freakin&#8217; love it here. i really do.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>before Jasper and Jovie arrived, Regan and I lived in the city for about 4 years. first, we rented an apartment in Ultimo, right across from the ABC building. then an apartment was for sale in the same building, within a few weeks we bought it and we moved downstairs. it&#8217;s now owned by mother, and i secretly hope that one day i can afford to rent it out myself and use it as my office &#8211; how cool would that be?? <\/p>\n<p>anyway &#8211; back to the topic of Sydney. while we lived out at Ultimo, i did heaps of walking around the city on my own and with Regan. this is where my love of photography grew, getting to know the streets, the personalities, that certain something that no other city in the world has. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/traceytakesphotos\/53197853\/\" title=\"sydney cloud #3 by traceytakesphotos, on Flickr\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm1.static.flickr.com\/29\/53197853_7254ba8b42_o.jpg\" width=\"333\" height=\"500\" alt=\"sydney cloud #3\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nthe sydney opera house, namely &#8211; the steps of the opera house. i love sitting here and taking it all in. you can see the bridge, the city, the gardens and the water from here. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/traceytakesphotos\/36352972\/\" title=\"the alley way by traceytakesphotos, on Flickr\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm1.static.flickr.com\/21\/36352972_224561dbfd.jpg\" width=\"330\" height=\"500\" alt=\"the alley way\" \/><\/a><br \/>\ni love the many many little alley ways that snake through the city. you never know what you&#8217;ll find at the end of one.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/traceytakesphotos\/14103182\/\" title=\"anzac sunset by traceytakesphotos, on Flickr\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm1.static.flickr.com\/9\/14103182_87df2a1baa.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"308\" alt=\"anzac sunset\" \/><\/a><br \/>\ndriving across the Anzac Bridge, especially at sunset. spectacular. i don&#8217;t know how i haven&#8217;t crashed my car, trying to take in the beauty AND the traffic all at once.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/traceytakesphotos\/95719765\/\" title=\"chinese new year parade, sydney by traceytakesphotos, on Flickr\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm1.static.flickr.com\/37\/95719765_ed712a6ddb.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"500\" alt=\"chinese new year parade, sydney\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nthe many cultural events you&#8217;ll bump into most weekends of the year &#8211; the Chinese New Year parade is a favourite of our family, have been going for many of my 28 years \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/traceytakesphotos\/163944704\/\" title=\"Antony Gormley Asian Field by traceytakesphotos, on Flickr\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm1.static.flickr.com\/61\/163944704_e91ea7b87a.jpg\" width=\"333\" height=\"500\" alt=\"Antony Gormley Asian Field\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nheaps of art exhibitions that are in walking distance!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/traceytakesphotos\/369773165\/\" title=\"Untitled by traceytakesphotos, on Flickr\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm1.static.flickr.com\/134\/369773165_bee6b2ee5b.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"232\" alt=\"\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nOF COURSE, new years eve fireworks! we saw a few new years&#8217; in, from our apartment rooftop. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/traceytakesphotos\/195260228\/\" title=\"protest \/ missed one by traceytakesphotos, on Flickr\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm1.static.flickr.com\/70\/195260228_9becdcba98.jpg\" width=\"333\" height=\"500\" alt=\"protest \/ missed one\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nbeing a part of current events, witnessing protests, emotions, seeing faces, and REAL people. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/traceytakesphotos\/69659969\/\" title=\"no worries by traceytakesphotos, on Flickr\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm1.static.flickr.com\/20\/69659969_30caa28be9.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"337\" alt=\"no worries\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nwalking the whole city, overground and underground and always finding something new. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/traceytakesphotos\/282083471\/\" title=\"sunset on market by traceytakesphotos, on Flickr\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm1.static.flickr.com\/103\/282083471_7fd9827a2d.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\" alt=\"sunset on market\" \/><\/a><br \/>\ngoing around after work, and walking into the most amazing scenes, straight out of a movie i tell you!<\/p>\n<p>but most of all, whenever we were overseas or out of the city, what i loved most about Sydney is that when you came back, you always felt <em>home<\/em>.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/traceytakesphotos\/37853716\/\" title=\"our balcony by traceytakesphotos, on Flickr\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm1.static.flickr.com\/21\/37853716_2faed2907d.jpg\" width=\"364\" height=\"500\" alt=\"our balcony\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>From Blog This &#8211; This week, a photo challenge.
