So it’s been month (ok, years) of umm-ing and ahh-ing about life and what I want out of it. I won’t lie – being pregnant and having my two beautiful babies has been AMAZING and the biggest part of my life so far – but if I’m honest, it’s taken over part\/most of me in the last 4 years. I absolutely love being a mum, and looking at their crazy little faces and dancing around the living room to the Gummi Bear song is such a GIFT, but that’s not 100% me. It’s not the end of the story for Tracey. <\/p>\n
Amanda’s blog post What I Really Want<\/em><\/a> is yet another wakeup call – I’m not the only one with dreams and had been hiding them away. There’s always SOMETHING that deep down you want to do, want to happen to you – but what if you dare to shout it to the world\/internet? Are you brave enough to not only make your dreams known – but to actually make it happen? This part of the blog post is about to get cheesey – quotes. Every now and again I hear something and I go “YES!” but then I forget about it… here’s where I note them down and maybe tattoo them on my hands so that I never forget to be brave<\/p>\n You\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re so afraid of taking chances, How you gonna reach the top?<\/em> There are only two mistakes one can make along the road to truth; not going all the way, and not starting. <\/em> Success seems to be connected with action. Successful men keep moving. They make mistakes, but they don’t quit.<\/em> I know there’s more that I’m forgetting but they all have the same meaning – TRY and KEEP GOING. <\/p>\n So what do I really want in my future? <\/strong> <\/p>\n – I want to travel & photograph my adventures. Those last 2 points have been my first plan for the past few months and I’m almost ready to go – I have my stock (Diana Mini’s, PX70 film for polaroid, Holga 135’s, Ultrawide Slim Devils, a whole lot of 35mm and some cute jewellery too), business is all registered and now I just have to jump in and get the store running. My biggest passion for this store is the cameras & film – getting people back into film photography or getting people started with it if they’ve gone straight to digital. I want to lead by example so I’m going to restart shutterbug<\/a> as my photoblog and blog about photography, concentrating on 35mm since it’s more accessible for people. <\/p>\n Travel & book plans – well I’m happy to keep that on hold until the kids are a bit bigger or when I can afford to travel. I want to do it right – so for now I’m happy to stay in the city every now and then, maybe my first book will be about my beloved Sydney!?<\/p>\n You can see that most of my current ‘wants’ are to do with photography and that’s no coincedence. I want that fire back in my belly and to be passionate about photography again!
