Boo. I play with <a href=\"http:\/\/followgram.me\/traceytakesphotos\">Instagram on my iPad<\/a> but whipping out an iPad to take a photo when you&#8217;re out and about is CRAZY. <\/p>\n<p>I do have favourites on my Hero that I wanted to recommend anyway \ud83d\ude42 <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/sh1ft.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/vignette.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"vignette\" width=\"480\" height=\"418\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3593\" srcset=\"http:\/\/sh1ft.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/vignette.jpg 480w, http:\/\/sh1ft.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/vignette-300x261.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 480px) 100vw, 480px\" \/><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/market.android.com\/details?id=uk.co.neilandtheresa.NewVignette\">Vignette<\/a><br \/>\nI&#8217;ve been using this one for a while and I like it alot \ud83d\ude42 I have it set to the instant square filter\/frame you see above. It replaces the main camera on my phone but you can import any photo file into Vignette to process later.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/sh1ft.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/magic-hour.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"magic-hour\" width=\"480\" height=\"439\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3594\" srcset=\"http:\/\/sh1ft.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/magic-hour.jpg 480w, http:\/\/sh1ft.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/magic-hour-300x274.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 480px) 100vw, 480px\" \/><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/market.android.com\/details?id=com.kiwiple.mhm&#038;hl=en\">Magic Hour Camera<\/a><br \/>\nI&#8217;ve only just started to use this one and so far so good. The best thing about it is the free filter market AND there is a feature where you can create your own filter via the mini photoshop-like software that&#8217;s included within the app. You can save your favourite filters to 1 section and scroll through really quick &#8211; very much like Instagram. <\/p>\n<p>The only downsides to both Vignette and Magic Hour is that they don&#8217;t have a community behind it, like Instagram, where you can register an account and share &#038; follow people. But that&#8217;s ok &#8211; posting to Twitter or Facebook will be enough for me right now&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Both apps above have free and paid versions so you can give it a go first and then opt to buy it (AU$4 max) for more features or support. <\/p>\n<p><em>Do you have any good Instagram-like apps on your Android? <\/em><\/p>\n<p>edited to add &#8211; yes I have tried the new Flickr for Android, PicPlz and a heap of other similar ones available, but sadly they were all  slow and unresponsive on my HTC Hero. maybe it&#8217;s time for a new phone, lol. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jovie has just fallen asleep for her nap, early, and we don&#8217;t dare wake her so I&#8217;ve had a few minutes to fiddle with my phone, lol.
