Wow, it’s half way through 2026, and about 6 years since I last updated this blog. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
As expected, alot can and has happened in the 6 years since I last posted. Obviously, lockdown is over blah blah blah, but COVID still floats around. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
A super quick family update. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I’m 45 now. All the kids are teenagers (!!). Jasper is 18, Jovie is 17 and Miles just turned 13 yesterday. Regan is almost finished with his Nursing uni degree. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Without invading their privacy, they’re all doing well as can be. I’ve been very aware they’re all able to Google, so I don’t post photos or info about them without asking them first. Jovie’s Rett Syndrome stuff is different, I still like to bring awareness to Rett Syndrome but I still hold back on every little detail of her life being out there. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Jovie’s got 18 months left of school – we are already starting to transition from paediatric to adult hospital services which is a big leap but I’m grateful she gets milestones like this. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
My instagram<\/a> gets updated now and then if you want to see photos of us. <\/p>\n\n\n\n I’ve collected a bunch of diagnosis’ since we last caught up – Adenomyosis, ADHD, ASD and POTS. My OCD still sticks but isn’t as bad as it was years ago. (ERP works!). I’ve spent too much time chasing doctors and in appointments, I wanted to do something actually fun and more ‘me’ this year – so I’ve started to pull out all my old cameras and am trying to make videos<\/a> about them all. I’ve only just started, but I really like revisiting my camera collection, and the photos I can find from 20 years ago… and then going back out there to take more photos. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The only problem has been my chronic fatigue & pain (from the POTS or Adeno or perimenopause, i think). I can’t walk as much as I used to, so I’m trying to balance that out.. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Anyway, if you’re still reading this blog, you’re dedicated! lol. I don’t expect to update again, maybe the next time will be another 6 years… I really like the idea of photobloggin<\/a>g properly again (away from Instagram etc) so I might figure that one out soon, it’s good to keep things simple, you know? This version of my blog started in September 2001, that’s 25 years (minus the years you don’t hear from me). I’m lucky I still self host so there’s no ads or subscriptions, it’s alot more straight forward to just pull this up and type whenever I want. This blog has seen me through so much – from before Regan and I were married, to all my babies, to moving, to Rett Syndrome. I wonder what it would be like if I kept this for another 25 years? The world’s longest hosted blog?? <\/p>\n\n\n\n Other things I’m up to – etsy<\/a>, amazon storefront<\/a> and books on amazon<\/a>. I’ve been busy, lol.
