the past day or so has been tiring <\/em>for me (and the bub)<\/p>\n

tuesday night aqua class after a full day’s work, which means sitting in peak hour traffic for 2 hours, class for 2 hours and then straight to bed (staying over at my parents house, see next paragraph)<\/p>\n

this morning, early morning appointment at the hospital (our 29 week checkup) so the drive from my parents house to the hospital in peak hour is not as bad (30 mins) as the trip would of been if i went from our apartment to the hospital (2 hours). <\/p>\n

$\"glucaid\"$ <\/a>i was scheduled to do the glucose tolerance test today (to check for gestational diabetes) but the drink wasn’t gluten\/wheat free! i need to schedule to have a blood test after fasting for 8 hours***, hopefully i can do this on sunday morning (it needs to be done before i hit 30 weeks). we had a good check up though, no problems reported and none brought up by the midwives. they measured the fundal height (28), we heard the heartbeat (all good) and they felt for the bub (who was head down!). the new clinic location is very nice, the rooms are more modern and you don’t feel like you’ve stepped into a time machine and brought back to the 70’s. <\/p>\n

so after all that, i was out of the hospital at about 11am (yep, probably spent 4 hours there for a 15 min check up and a general blood test to check iron levels etc). went out to arrange the first of many things needed for the settlement of our new property…. spent the rest of the afternoon with my dad picking out security doors & screens, and blinds for all the windows. <\/p>\n

dad and i also did our sums, and our new loan isn’t enough – we hadn’t applied for enough $ so we had to put in a reapplication today. hopefully that works out, cause if it doesn’t …. well, i ain’t going to be happy. we just don’t have a spare $$$K around! (who does?) <\/p>\n

managed to get home just before 5pm, had an early dinner with Regan and crashed on the couch, laptop still sitting on my lap (so sexy!). now, i’m awake but definately ready to head to bed. so so tired. <\/p>\n

tomorrow i need to call about the telephone line, internet connection, water, gas & electricity. we’re going to try and get it all set up pretty quickly because we want to move in asap – but can’t, because i need the net connection (which also means i need electricity and a phone line connected) for work. the net connection might take 3 weeks to set up AFTER we have electricity and a phone line though, so hopefully those 2 things can be organised before settlement but i’m not sure it can be … oh well, at least things are moving along! i think after this initial exchange and set up, things will be OK – i give it 6 weeks for everything to be on it’s way and we’ll be moved across. i’m just grateful i’m not 8 months + along and doing all of this, cause it’s already draining the energy out of me and i’m not yet 7 months. <\/p>\n

oi vey, i’ve totally forgotten about SELLING our apartment. that’s a whole other can of worms. hopefully that won’t be too bad – just need to get the solicitor to send the contract to the agent, clean out our apartment as much as possible while we’re still living in it, have an open inspection or two and see how we go from there… that will need to be done in the next 2 weeks I figure <\/p>\n

gr, better stop gabbering on. i get talky when i’m tired and need to process things on paper! <\/p>\n
