I’m walking slower, I’m swelling up and going down, I’m getting more twitches, breathing is getting harder and braxon hicks are now getting more painful (like period cramps) – but it’s all interesting to me, and a part of a greater good. i had a blood test a week or so ago, any my iron levels are down so i’m trying to turn that around (meat week/s!). haven’t heard back about the GD test though, which might be good news then?

I’m reading and learning more and more about labour and our options – and I’m so incredibly excited for it. (Good thing there’s only 10 weeks left now)

I do plan on going natural – with no intervention and no drugs. And I know, I know – I sound totally naive and crazy but I see it from a different point of view. I’ve already avoided drugs (painkillers etc.) this whole pregnancy, didn’t take them alot before I was pregnant either, so I want to keep that going as I know it can effect the bub too. Of course, if there is an emergency then yes I will consider the options given to me, but I want to go in with the fact that my body was made to do this, and I want to let it continue the journey as confidently and as bravely as we’ve done it so far. I want to go in with a strong mind and the mindset that I can do this, no matter what. I don’t want to go into labour thinking of how much I’ll scream and where I’ll tear. I want to come away from the experience remembering how beautiful it was.

I started yoga about 3 weeks ago, and it’s had a great effect on me. Personally, I would say her teachings are spot on right for what I want, not just for labour, but in my life. I only booked in to do 5 classes (which combine prenatal yoga and relaxation and mind techniques) (could of booked for 10 but it would of taken me past 44 weeks pregnant and that’s just not gonna happen!!) but I did buy her book which is good affirmation about everything she says in class. Now I just gotta convince Regan and Hayley (who will be my support) that this is what I want for sure.. and I have to master a good deep yoga squat, lol.

For me, my next ‘milestone’ will again be in 4 weeks time when I reach 34 weeks along. By that time, we’ll hopefully be moved into our new townhouse (finally) which will mean alot more to me than just any regular move. It’ll be my baby’s first home, his first room and where we’ll see him grow up.

I can’t wait!!!!!
🙂

Things, for me, are getting a little uncomfortable lately.
