had been up all night (after that long day of moving yesterday) and felt like the bub was using my insides as a squeeze toy. <\/p>\n
i never really went to sleep so i got out of bed early for a hot shower (didn’t help) and then walked around the townhouse to find a comfortable place – on the couch, on the floor, outside on the grass in a yoga pose (which worked best). but since i couldn’t find a comfortable position to sleep in, i couldn’t sleep it off and i couldn’t eat or drink because of the extreme nausea (i was carrying around an ikea blue bag because it was the first thing i saw) – i called the midwives and they asked me to come in for a check up. <\/p>\n
mum & dad were over within 15 minutes (i think they thought THIS WAS IT!) and i went up to the birth unit with Regan and my mum for observation. spent a few hours there getting checked on. we got to hear the bub’s heartbeat (mum’s first time!) and they poked and prodded my stomach to see where it hurt. i was a bit dehydrated but otherwise was OK to go home – after a shot of maxolon in one leg, and buscopan in the other. it helped me sleep a bit while i was there, which was awesome, so we came home to rest. we figured it was just bad indigestion .. the curry perhaps but whatever it was, it was super annoying.<\/p>\n
still feeling a bit crap now but at least i’ve had some sleep. hopefully i’ll be OK tomorrow! this kind of thing doesn’t last very long <\/p>\n
