HOW TO PLAY

• choose 1 idea/theme below for your starting photograph (but feel free to complete more ideas/themes if you have the time)
  
  
  

  heat	multiple	walking	shopping aisle	waiting	family
  celebration	closed	running	reflection	lying around	nature
  going away	transport	urban signs	flying	too many	animals
  downwards	bright	a tall building	electronic	underground	music
  man made	alone	start of the day	exit signs	saturday night	fast food

  
  
  
• from your chosen starting idea/theme, take 8 connecting photographs.

  for example, i have started with 'walking in the park' then 'city and park views', 'night view', 'night entry shot' 'entry sign against blue sky', 'transport into blue sky', 'red transport vehicle' and finally my 8th shot of 'bright red heart'.

  you can see that each photograph relates to the last photograph, but has taken on a new idea/theme aswell.

• on wednesday october 1 2003, come back to the connect 8 website to post your link to your results! note that complete entries submissions will be open for the whole month of october.

RULES & GUIDES

• each shot should relate to the previous shot in some way e.g. colour, perspective, action, object.
  
  
• each shot should only relate back to the previous shot (and not directly connect to any others)
  this means there should be no 'storytelling' in your series of 8. e.g. no certain colour, perspective, action or object should run through all photos.
  
  
• tip : plan your photographs by mapping out each shot.
  
  
• write a short description or title of each shot if you think it's necessary
