Kikki-K

Kikki-K
January 02, 2007

I went a little crazy in Kikki-K (Macquarie Centre). Christmas came too fast for me, so I didn't put as much effort into presents as I normally would - and I wanted to make up for it.

A little something for someone special - more to come!

The National Breast Cancer Foundation are kindly supported by many retailers Australia wide, that donate a portion of their sales back to them.

The ultimate goal of the National Breast Cancer Foundation's is to raise enough money to fund a cure for breast cancer. As Australia’s leading national not-for profit organisation established to fund all forms of research into the prevention and cure of breast cancer, we have a responsibility to ensure that the funds you work so hard to raise are used in the best possible way as we move towards making our goal a reality.

Kids with Cameras

Kids with Cameras
October 07, 2006

I saw Born Into Brothels a few months ago, and made a note to buy the dvd or a print or the book one day.

Winner of the 2005 Academy Award for Best Documentary Film, BORN INTO BROTHELS, was produced and directed by Ross Kauffman and Zana Briski. Zana Briski, a New York based photographer, gives each of these youngsters a camera and teaches them how to take pictures, simultaneously causing them to look at their world with new eyes. Their photographs are prisms into their souls, rather than anthropological curiosities, and a true testimony to the power of the indelible creative spirit.

Teaching photography overseas is something I wanted to do in the future, so it was cool to get an insight into it.

Baby accessories

Baby accessories
August 01, 2006

Now, I don't have kids and I'm not pregnant - but that hasn't stopped me from browsing the odd cute baby present for my future nephew's and niece's out there!

A few of my most favourites have been -

Oobi Oobi Cute Baby Shoes Bella Mam Body Butter FLATout Bear at Baby's Got Style Sushi Burp Set

Little Bear Hat with Ears and the Little Bear Hoodie Jacket are from Oobi, Spaceship Toddler baby shoes from Cute Baby Shoes, the amazing FLATOUT bear from FLATOUTaustralia which you can get from Baby's Got Style, Belly Butter from Bella Mama and the cute Sushi 3-Piece Burpcloth Set from Babystyle.com

You can just tell I'm going to spoil my kids as soon as they enter the world, lol! I really love the Oobi range, I saw it at Abode in Bondi and wanted to buy the hoodie straight away, it's gorgeous.

I've found the Baby's Got Style website really fun to use and to look at - and better yet, it's run by a local!

Look out my beautiful pregnant friends - a gift might be coming your way soon!

Sydney sales!

Sydney sales!
July 22, 2006

I've been purposely keeping my wallet shut and myself out of the mall for a few weeks now - and it's time to reap my rewards (within a set budget)!

There are a few big sales still on in Sydney that Regan and I are going to check out -

Borders have a 3 for 2 special on alot of books, dvds and other things
General Pants are having a further 50-80% off their already marked down stuff (yay!!)
Myer are having this BIG clearance - which we haven't even checked out yet. I could do with some new shoes ..
I've heard Sportsgirl has some good pieces on sale too
and Seduce are having a sale also

That's a few places to keep me and my wallet busy this weekend.

I've added 2 new categories - Sydney Markets and Vintage Clothing. These are 2 subjects I searched the net for - but couldn't find a decent all-in-one guide. I might as well do it! The info should be up within the week or so.
