remembering

where were you Sept 11 2001?

i remember i was in my room, taking a bunch of photos to post on MT. i was watching the Late News on Channel 10 at around 11pm when the newsreader announced that there was a breaking story in NYC and had footage coming through from the US. what i saw in the next 20 mins froze me - seeing the second plane hit the wtc - the first thing i did was come online and make sure my friends were OK. Regan and Elad were the first people i spoke to that night and i thank god that they were there. i spent the next few hours posting news updates on MT when i found out something via the net or tv. reports from all over the us, seeing the towers collapse as it happened, reports on the pentagon and the possibility of another hijacking. i didn't sleep for a few days after that, i remember there being so much coverage on tv for at least a week, that i had to switch it off. i didn't wake my family that night, but i had left a message downstairs asking them to turn on the tv. the streets outside became quieter but the world felt alot smaller.

that was a year ago tonight, things felt different before then.
