have any of you ever seen any of ruby wax's american pie series? i've seen the ones that she's visited a jail, the kiddie beauty pagent, hanging out with single women in new york and tonight's is about .. porn i think? anyways, they've always been surprisingly insightful - i remember seeing how bad and remorseful the women in jail felt about their lives when they had to do their jobs burying corpses, that they seemed so tough one minute, but when they were faced with the reality that one day soon someone might be burying them in the same manner, they know what they needed to do when their term is over.. in the beauty pagent episode last week, it was disturbing to see the kind of lives these babies have already. there was one girl in particular i thought might have a few screws loose.. scary to think these kids think winning a trophy by showing a fake smile is everything, when everything should be your barbie doll or something when you're 4
