my lucky life
so imagine 10 mins earlier, and
John Mayer is on stage. that's where i was tonight!
lucky me, my sister and i were guests of
music max at a special taping at
Fox Studios! as usual, a really great set of songs by mr mayer and his band (sexual chocolate, as he referred to them haha). hayley managed to grab the
set list and i picked up a plectrum.
really awesome to be so close (front row baby!) and see/hear/feel him when he's performing. third time he's been to australia, and my third time seeing him so i count myself lucky! a mixture of songs from the first record and the new one, john always performs amazingly and always impresses! afterwards we waited a little while to see whether he was going to come out and sign stuff, but instead we chatted to scotty and headed home
my sister was deathly afraid of me getting kicked out for taking photos during the taping, there was a strict no cameras allowed policy and since i was so close to the cameras and in the front, i wanted to whip it out at least once but she wouldn't get the camera out of her bag. i regret it though because i would of gotten so many amazing shots! make sure to watch it when it comes to (australian) cable in november - i was in a few camera paths haha

*phew* Good to see that you're still a loyal Mayer fan. hehe. I'm sooo happy you got to see him in an 'exclusive' setting again.... and you finally recognised Scotty. LOL. Don't worry about the pics... I'm sure you'll take another 200 odd photos on Saturday to make up for it right? ;) Luv ya!

Cool! I have yet to see Mr. Mayer in concert.. he did come to town this past summer, but I didn't go. Maybe next time!

Ha! I have been posting John Mayer Lyric Titles all week it seems! I would so love to see him live. We've got people getting us in to see Saliva (i only know 1 song!) and also Godsmack. I think I'm too old for this.... ;)

OOoooh. Front row. That's awesome. I wish I could go see him on October 31 (he's coming around here again), but I doubt this poor college student could afford it. The only way I'd go is if I could get front row since last time Ryan and I were in one of the last rows of pavilion seating. We'll see ...

Bee - i ain't going saturday night! which was why last night was so cool for me!
Jaemie - out of the 3 times i've seen him live, i've only had to pay for 1 show :D gotta keep your eyes out for freebies :P haha

john's great! i saw him when he was out here this time last year, in melbourne. i too had a front row view. i love his songs and he's soo good live. john mayer is a must see for anyone who hasn't..

yah!!! JOHN MAYER!!!!! It was totally cool! (if you haven't guessed, it's tracey's sister here- i was the one who actually entered the musicmax comp and won tickets yah!) I am so grateful to have been able to see him play (amazingly) again- i've been dying for him to come back to oz since he was here last year in October and it was so totally worth singing into the telephone for hahaha!
And now i can NOT wait until Sat! yah! ps. have you checked out Scotty's road journal? there are pics of the taping that we went to! :)
