lord of the rings CRAZY.
it's only about 15 more days til the opening day of the last lord of the rings movie and boy am i excited! as a christmas present for my sister, i've already prebooked tickets for the first session come boxing day :D
she also just got back from NZ and i've already uploaded a few photos she took on the handycam :-
(click
here for more photos)
she's got a stack of film to develop (something like 13 rolls?) so i'm sure there'll be more to show and tell!
while she was away, i borrowed her extended edition two towers dvd and it was really really cool to see all the extra scenes! i can't wait for ROTK - i'm prepared for a numb ass and uncontrollable crying. haha.
(she could probably explain the places/people better but they're all pretty recognisable if you've seen the movies)

The tourism to New Zealand must be BOOMING.
As far as I know, most of the Hot houses were just a front.
And from the picture above, it doesn't look like they left much of the fronts in tact.

Very cool. I have mixed feelings about the Rohan fortress of Edoras...part of me wishes they'd kept it, as a mecca for geeks like us, but then I also think it's kinda neat that it's gone, only to live on in the films and in the minds of those who were there.
