who... me?
my photography is an important part of my life (as if you didn't know that by now? haha) and to get recognition, no matter how big or small, is an amazing thing. i love getting emails everyday from people all over the world, asking me about the photographs i take, how to set up a photolog, how to take that perfect night shot or what kind of camera i recommend. even the emails that just say 'keep doing what you do'. i love that people want to write to me, and want to come back to see my photographs when they can.
today, i found out i 'won' the
2004 bloggies category for best photography of a weblog. woah. first off, i don't believe in "winning" or being 'number one', to me, there's never one single better person out there. life would be boring if there weren't contemporaries by your side, doing the same thing you love and pushing you to do better than you did last week. last month. last year. i am still learning, we all are. in that respect, i am still extremely honoured and flattered that people are looking out for me and i appreciate it so so much. thank you for all the support and kindness and i hope that
the other great photoblogs in the same category don't go unrecognised.
a part of what makes me so passionate about photography is other people, photographers like todd at
quarlo, armando at
armando bellmas fotografia and rachel at
brownglasses.com have become gods to me. recent discoveries like
low resolution and
infrangible remind me that there's so much out there to be seen; and i love that.
i could definately go on and on and write about more photoblogs
i adore ... instead i'll finish by asking you to take a couple of minutes to find someone else's images. visit the
recently added photoblogs page and go through a few of the links. photoblogs.org was a huge help in getting people to visit my site, and i try to return the favour whenever i can.

Congrats girl! Whether you get awarded or not, I have to admit (and yes this will sound corny) that your photoblog has inspired me to get off my arse and keep on taking pictures and pictures until I'm broke and have to live under the bridge with William the Trash Can Man! Thank you girl! you Rawk!
A fan from Puerto Rico :)
