i don't know what it is exactly..

change of season? but i've been constantly warm - my neck feels warm, my eyes feel warm, my back feels.. well, warm. i thought it was just the weather turning but maybe not. starting to get a sore throat and headache with nausea, but that could be just me trying to concentrate on these damn computer screens. i'll book myself in for a checkup this week i think (to also monitor this damn RSI, fuzzy fingers), but does anyone else feel the same way when the seasons change?

edited to add : after a wacky episode of hallucinations and pounding headaches, i ended up going to the doc to find out i have another viral infection, ugh. damn you, immune system!! i seem to get these 2 weeks before something big happens...

in an effort to produce better techniques with my photography, i shot film only over the weekend, and while it was fun - light leaking and faulty light meters aren't.

my lomo ended up shooting only 4 frames (the rest were totally blank), and one of my holga roll's was actually a slide roll that i didn't realise so I can't get those developed until i become a millionaire and can afford the prints (at about $5 print). other than that, my basic b&w roll came out really nice and i have a few interesting things to post!

over the week, Jessyel was nice enough to give me a guest spot on dailysnap while he was away. i really love the support and the encouragement that guest spots create - thank you again JTG for inviting me :)

in my last photo-related post, i hope i come across a canonet or ae-1 on my travels.... san fran has good camera stores, yes? i have a hankering for some good ole, vintage-y 35mm adventures...

oh my. $5 a print for slide film? ;_; maybe you could just get the negatives done and scan them, or take photos of them and photoshop (sarah davis does that a lot - myheadphones.org / livejournal: bjorkdoll). or perhaps you could get them cross-processed, which i think doesn't cost as much?

i don't have the right adapter to scan them in (i've already tried :P) but i might try taking photos of them!
cross processing needs to be done at the time of development, so i'm screwed :( haha

thanks for the tips :)

ohh your poor pooor Lomo :( I stopped using my Lomo when I realized I was spending too much money on developing pictures that made no damn sense. Maybe I'll get hang of it again this trimester.

Did you shoot another roll through it? Mine did that and I shot another roll and it turned out to be fine.

I have a very weak immune system as well. It takes me forever to get over something and constantly going to the doctor.

I hope you are healthy for your big trip. Bring lots of meds.

Ah. The fun of film based photography. But then thats what makes it interesting. A whole different technical and practical level.

I'm interested in going back to it since having gone over to digital for awhile. I'd like to think its sharpened my skills especially with regard to to aperture settings. Although thats tempered by the type of film.

Your not the only one feeling sick. I've had the dreaded lurgey passed on from my sons. We leave for a week overseas this Sunday. Mostly over it now.

Looking forward to seeing the results of your film based shots.
