i've been away
.. and now i'm back
the photograph is from a 'play' session the other night. i usually try to take a self portrait each month or so, just to see my style and approach change. the full series will be posted at shutterbug at a later date (once the gatlinburg arch of usa pics is finished, i think).
i think taking self portraits, while can be self indulgent, is therapeutic. they don't have to turn out the 'best', i never ever wear makeup or fancy clothes for them, but they represent your state of mind at the time. i'm actually quite shy about posting my own photo up, so the time between this post and when i post the full series is enough for me to get over it.
let me know if you've taken a self portrait lately, or even if you have a favourite one of yourself, ok?
