strange tastes
does anyone have a problem like the one i'm having lately?
it's not 'strange tastes' as in i like the freaky... (though i might do!). it's more like, i can 'taste' smoke or something horrid really weird in my mouth constantly which is making me nauseous and keeps me eating things to try and get rid of it. after doing a few google searches, i've only come up with the simliarities between pregnancy symptoms (no i'm NOTTT) when some women will have a metallic taste.
it might help to tell you that my left arm (shoulder to forearm) has been hurting pretty bad (like a sharp pain), i've had bad headaches and my right eye is distracted by a vein pulsating every now and again.
diet has been the same (maybe even better than usual), i'm exercising every day as usual, haven't eaten or done anything out of the ordinary. i don't smoke or drink .. i like walks on the beach and puppies.. wait that's another thing altogether, haha
would anyone know what else i could look into, short of going to the doc (don't want to pay 60 bucks for them to tell me i'm pyscho)?
maybe this is a case of NOT letting the internet diagnose you... :P

I've been reading this book called ' you are what you eat' (Dr Gilliam Mckeith) from the TV show you are what you eat.Its been helpful cos i've been having weird mouth probs too but not too much to do with tastes. Doesnt say much abt metallic tastes though just how to analyse your health from your tongue. You might have a leakage from the metal fillings in your mouth.
With the sore arm -like tender spots it says prob Vitamin B12 deficiency or zinc deficiency.
But prob go see a doctor/naturopath or a herbalist or even a chiro!to help you.

If you're sure you're not pregnant... then maybe it's a problem with digestion, or a symptom of intolerance to some food. Have you noticed if you feel worse after eating some particular food?

Tracy, that's exactly what I think - B12 or zinc deficiency. I'm probably going to start my round of multivitamins until I can go see the doc for a blood test ... I'm always deficient :P I don't have any fillings
Ale, no it seems to just turn up whenever. This morning, before any food. Last night, after a lot of food (I was trying to disguise it, no luck!).
I'll keep you updated!
