welcome to tracey tv land

i'm home a lot. a lot, a lot. most of the time i'm working though, but it's no excuse of the amount of tv i watch a day. i can basically set my day to the tv guide AND still get a BUTTLOAD of work done.

needless to say, i've been excited about the past week's schedule since it's basically the start of the main tv season here in sydney. below are my favourites so far :

outback jack
most reality tv dating shows are crap. this one was no exception, but i guess the 'aussie' factor made it crap enough to be hiliarious. i loveeed mary and natalie, and i'm glad he chose he chose in the end. won't give it away since i didn't want to be spoiled myself.. what's with that marissa?? ugh.

passions
my ultimate cheesy/weird soap opera is back on at a weird time slot - 9.30AM. doesn't matter me since i'm home anyway most days, and i can still get my 'harmony' fix. we're still 3 years behind, so comparing it with the storylines in the states is strange

the amazing race
love love love this show. every single season! i couldn't keep up if i were out there though, especially with that crazy guy (jonathon??). would of jumped at the chance to do that flying fox or spend a night on a glacier

my restaurant rules
was hoping this would turn out OK, but i think like last season, i'm going to have to give it a few more weeks. dicko looks out of place for some reason ...

the x factor
snoozefest. started last night and it was an australia idol clone. maybe in the next few weeks it'll change though, the concept is a little bit different from AI or popstars..

desperate housewives
finally premiered last week! and encored.. and encored again.. still good though. i've missed it since we saw it back in sept/oct.. more tonight! hoorah!

australian queer eye for the straight guy
hoping this won't be as crap as people have been saying. i want to get Regan in there on season 2 !! i love the american version anyway, i'll be happy to see what they can apply to the aussie lifestyle and what aussie companies they use. inspiration is good!

lost
finally the one most of us have been waiting for! it didn't premiere here like it did in the states (episodes 1 and 2 together, right?) but it was still good. can't wait to catch up and see the rest of the eps so far. i've been reading theories as to what 'lostzilla' is ... definately not a dinosaur, right?

another we haven't seen yet (airs wednesday, i think?), is medium which hopefully will live up to the hype. oh, american tv, your cup runneth over in my book.. haha

I wish I knew what was going on in Passions! I had to stop watching since school was at the same time as my soap, and the time get jumping around. Now, I'm just way too behind.

I LOVE Desperate Housewives, though. :)

Amazing what keeps us company while we work sometimes eh? I rarely watch TV now that Sex & The City isn't on HBO. The world used to stop for those girls.

definitely gonna share the love for desperate housewives and lost. and passions is just... an odd addiction for me. XP

i think medium is living up the hype. i like it.

Low the low down on the TV shows, now I don't feel like I'm the only one who watches a fair deal of TV :p

It's good that you still manage to get a lot of work done. Many people find TV to be a distraction from work or an excuse/reason to procrastinate! :) The shows I watch regularly: Without a Trace, Law & Order: SVU; as regularly as I can, CSI, Cold Case; when Danny Strong is on it, Gilmore Girls.
