i should of said
i'm okay! i'm okay! i'm okay! cause i really am okay, but just not 100% tracey (or 100% where i would like to be). in fact, i'm having a great long weekend and with one more day to go, an even better start to the week. soon enough, Regan's mum will be in Sydney and we're going to have so much fun showing her Sydney and the north coast!
i've been looking into alternative methods of 'treatment' for my anxiety issues and ayurveda interests me the most since it seems the most natural and chemical free. looking at the dosha, i'm more compatible with 'vata'. does anyone have any experiences with ayurveda? (email me). i'd rather change my diet (or cut things right out) than pop another pill.
earlier in the week - thursday night i managed to drag my ass to a flickr meetup in the city. it was great to see them all again (amanda, when are you going to make one??) and give my new toy a whirl. i've had it for a week or so, but hadn't really done much with it yet. it's more of a present/piece of jewellery, something to amuse myself in the meantime
friday night, Regan and i headed over to the easter show for some good old fashion carnival food, cow poop and show bags. every year it's the same, but we still go because it's the easter show and you don't ignore fluffy chickens and the lady canonball.
saturday i braved the queue (yes there was a QUEUE) outside the local spotlight. as it was one of the only days the shops are open this weekend, i knew to get there early, but then so did a thousand other sew-happy people. i managed to get in and out in under 30 mins and came home to sew up a storm. new pj's for Regan, new blanket for Mischa and the crappiest dress on the planet.
today we were at my mum's for dinner, where i fell into a 3 hour nap/sleep/coma as soon as we arrived at 2pm. after wasting most of the afternoon in the most uncomfortable position on the couch, my sister and i took Mischa up the street for a walk and then dinner was served (yumm). Hayley goes back to europe in a couple of weeks and my dad returns to sydney the same day, Regan's mum arrives a couple of days before that, so we've got a few trips to the airport to do soon!
so it's just about monday now, and the only thing planned is to try and get the grocery shopping done.
i love 4 day weekends.
