about the shot

while i'm away : enon
Canon 10D & 28-105mm

The day before our wedding, we went to see enon at the Hopetoun Hotel in Surry Hills (sydney of course). I'd only heard bits of enon, but adored 'disposable parts' and toko, so off we trekked up the hill to see them. We tend to get places super early when i'm around, i can't help it! but it also means we get up the front.

I definately wanted to repost this entry because of the intensity of being so close to amazing perfomers like Jon and Toko is definately something to write home about. At numerous times during the hour long set, Jon came right up to my lens - 3 or 4 inches away from little old me, even when the flash went off (hey i had to try new techiques) he still came back up for more. Of course, i didn't use the flash alot up close in his face but that night i learnt some new things about capturing energy on digital film.

My series of photographs also ended up on their official website, enon.tv.
