on bondi beach
down at bondi beach again early saturday morning for a walk, and a peek at this years
sculpture by the sea. early on in my walk, my battery had displayed 'drained' and there i was without a spare. luckily (or maybe not), my camera was on the fritz and when i took the battery out and put it back in, it was fully charged again! oh dear
i managed to get a few shots for
shutterbug which will go up at a later date since i'm back to US trip shots (this time it's charleston - look out for my ghost tour photo!).
over the weekend, i bought my first basic studio lighting kit which will motivate me to experiment more and to get some people in for portraits (anyone want one taken? haha). it's already been a great help learning to use light since i've never had any studio experience, let alone industry experience. i think i'm going to use the lighting as much as I can before i start posting the results publicly at shutterbug.
Jessyel has posted up the interview he conducted with me this week at
Daily Snap. it's kinda cool to see it finally, i hope i don't come across negatively. i've submitted 3 photos (
butterfly,
chicago and
the streets of sf) which haven't previously been posted anywhere -- i haven't had the time to arrange them for shutterbug yet!

I live off that street in SF about 6-7 blocks away. We may have passed one another.

I don't recall that giant Hollywood-esque "Bondi Beach" sign there before... is that new? Or was I too busy ogling surfers?

yay! thanks everyone!
Mona, we didn't get to spend any time in the area. Maybe next time though, it was so nice in SF.
Lana, it's part of the exhibition! they're thinking of keeping it up there
