i've been read
i like the possibility of there being more to we can see right in front of our face. whether it's real or not is a personal belief, something that everyone should make up their own minds about.
i'm not a very spiritual or religious person, but the whole subject fascinates me - not to the point of following john edward's around the world, or consulting tarot cards at every turn - but enough to get going to the bi-annual mind body spirit festival in sydney whenever i can.
i've never had my palm read, or had tarot cards read for me - so this year, i decided to do 'something' and it turned out to be an aura reading! what you see to the right is the photo taken by a special camera hooked up to two handsensors... the sensors relate back to the camera and the colours are produced
ok, have i lost you yet? no? well it's all very suss to some, and yeah it's a novelty in most cases - but the most interesting part was the reading i had afterwards, and the things my reader Helena said to me, not about the photo entirely, but to me.
i've decided not to tell anyone all the things that were relayed to me, but she hit the nail on the head 95% of the time. the only thing that i couldn't put my finger on was chest or liver problems that i'm getting over, or will have in the future (see that white cloud over my chest? that's it apparently). if she said stomach, then everything she said was 100%.
before i went in today, i took off my wedding rings to see whether she can pick up the 'Regan' vibe - she did. she mentioned the course i want to take next year and why i wanted to take it - and got that right. (btw, it's a flash mx course for work). other things, which may seem vague but in it's entirety painted a very cool and spooky picture. alot of the things she told me, i haven't posted in the journal or spoken to anyone but Regan before. it's a very eerie feeling, and if anything it's made me think a bit more about what's going on.
so anyway, if everything she told me was true and is going to happen, then i'll report back to you when it does.
(they should really have a service where you have a reading done, but you aren't told what the outcome is... the outcome is written out and put into a sealed envelope and you're told to open it after an amount of time - enough time for 'whatever it is' to happen. i think it's better to be surprised, rather than be told straight out. who knows if it will happen now?)
apart from my interesting outing at the festival, i've made a toberlone cheesecake and met jean, the cool french guy at the lomo shop in sydney, who was very nice as i drooled all over the polgaroid's, horizon's and oktomat's. all in all, a nice day and an even nicer weekend to follow!
if you still have web hosts to recommend me, post them at *express if you have a few minutes to spare. thanks xx
p.s. i'm not as kooky as this entry seems. haha.

Auras have always been an interest to me.. even though I haven't really researched them. Your reading sounds very cool, as well as the photograph. My boyfriend and his friend was saying that you can see another person'a sura if you out them up against a white wall and look right at where the head and wall "meet" you'll see a band of color. My boyfriend's is green apparently. *shrug* I have no idea what that means! Haha

I think one of the dates of the Bachelorette had this done. I would like to know what mine would say.

Believe or not, it's still fasinating and fun. I wonder if you went in another day, if your aura would be much different or basically the same?

All the aura talk is nonsense to me, but I really want one of those cameras now.
