during yesterday’s storms, we lost power in our house which turned out to be not so bad. we lit some candles and watched the wind bend tree’s in half, while tiny hail stones pelted the windows. we were lucky to escape any real damage, although the same could not be said about the bamboo shades we had outside on our porch that were almost in tatters by morning.
needless to say, without power the computers and router don’t work, so i didn’t make it into work today… instead i spent the day fixing things around the house and playing with baby J. did i tell you he’s COMMANDO ROLLING NOW?? from lying on his back to rolling to his tummy (which I only just witnessed for the first time earlier yesterday) back to this back and again to his tummy! so so clever 😀
anyway, it was a fun experiment to see how we are without electricity, and i wouldn’t mind doing it every now and then – it’s sort of like camping, but indoors at home.. if that makes sense, lol…
and now it’s the weekend, which everyone always looks forward too 😉 let’s just hope there aren’t any more bad storms!
