my dearest sweetie pie buttons,
loving someone has never been easier than it is to love you.
i don’t think i can express how much we love you – and how that love grows with every sunrise and sunset. it’s an amazing thing to see you grow from a newborn baby into a little boy, all the new things you pick up and even the things we see every day.
you bring joy to our lives in ways i couldn’t of imagined. i wish everyone gets the chance to experience such a feeling, it’s what life is all about.
you started off this month as your normal gooey self – hand chewing, saliva slobbery you.
you still adore your tummy time – often wanting to be on the floor for hours at a time (though you should be napping!) so you can practice your baby push ups and rolling skills. you’re on your way to crawling – although we can only really describe it as ‘face planting’ at the moment. we start you off at one end of your play mat, and a minute later you’re way up the other end (sometimes even all the way on the other side of the room!). sometimes i look for a baby skateboard or pulley system to check whether you’re cheating, but nope – you’re doing it all on your own 🙂
you love flying around with your daddy and anyone else who dares to lift you into the air – your saliva bombs are notorious for landing in our eyes and mouths.. there’s this lovely giggle you let out when you’re on the way down from your flight – i can’t describe it but it’s best illustrated with this photo …
the joy in your face is addictive – we do everything we can do hear that cackle from you. and that cackle, boy is it infectious!! if i can hear you from another room, i’ll start laughing myself – you love to laugh, and i love to hear it 🙂
you’ve continued your vocal exploration with a high pitch range –
in the past week, you’ve started to teeth pretty uncomfortably. you’ve been pre-teething for about 3with months now, but your bottom two teeth (and i think the top two aswell) are making an appearance and you’ve been a wee bit clingy (not that i mind at all!!!). we’re back to 2-5am wake ups during the night, sometimes 3 times a night. you’ve got flushed little cheeks and have had a bit of a temperature. you find comfort in chewing our fingers, which gives us a chance to feel around in there. i haven’t got a clear photo of them yet, but they’re sprouting! i’m pretty excited for you – you’re growing up so fast, it’s so wonderful to see 🙂
if teething wasn’t a big milestone, you’ve started to sit on your own too 🙂 just for a few seconds at first, but you’re getting stronger and we’re following your lead. it’s so amazing (there’s that word again!) to see you sit up on your own, it blows my mind to see you do things without our help – you’re not little bitty baby anymore, though you’ll always be my baby boy
