sex and the city movie

reading cinemai, like the many thousands of people across australia, made it to the cinema’s this week to catch the new sex and the city movie! my sister treated me to a gold lounge ticket at reading cinemas – which was worth the price tag. free popcorn and soda refills, a (not free) menu of food and desserts, (wine/spirits/beer if you so wanted aswell) and BIG comfy reclining chairs to sit back and relax in

i wouldn’t call myself a ‘big fan’ of SATC but i liked the series enough to want to watch it on dvd now and then. i admit that i don’t know enough about fashion to understand what was going on with Carrie’s wardrobe, but i love the entertainment of it all – one big advertisement for as many labels as possible – all way over my price limit!

i won’t post about the story line, just in case you haven’t seen it yet. but i will talk about one thing i really liked – Carrie’s apartment!

i love her studio apartment so much, that yes i did recreate it in Sims 2 …. i love how functional they’ve made such a ‘small’ place. in the movie though, they redecorated it – updated it, and i love it:

the electric blue walls are amazing, i love the 2 matching love seats, coffee table and wall cabinets, i love that her desk is so simple and clean and i love the photo frames behind her bed.

for some people, they will drool over louis vuitton bags, and manolo blahnik shoes – me, i like furniture and floorplans. alot.

oh, to live onscreen with a budget as big as tasmania.

Do you know bockphoto? She’s on flickr.
Apparently some of her photos were used on the apartment walls!

I love the apartment too! And I’m in such a blue phase lately too. I am now inspired to do up my own photo wall.
