post realisation

after reading a little bit about other parents’ experiences with sleep regression, i suddenly feel more awake and content

even waking up at 2.30 this morning to soothe J back to sleep has put a smile back on my face. knowing what i know now, and making the decision to just go with it and remember that it’s a developmental phase and it will pass, has given me back some sort of peace to my sleep deprived day.

i’m really excited that Jasper is now pulling up on his own, cruising the furniture, saying DIG DIG DIG DIG DIG over and over again. it’s a wonder of life 🙂 how can i be mad about that? i can’t.

i hope that one day a parent will stumble upon my ramblings about being so tired your face feels like it’s falling off, and it will help them too.

NOW, if i can only get rid of this awful cough, i’d be golden. maybe a trip to the dr is in order. i can’t be coughing for hours at night when i need to be sleeping…

Hey Tracey – if your cough isn’t a moist yucky cough then a cough suppressant for night might help. You could ask at the pharmacy for something.

I agree about making peace with the sleep deprivation. I felt much better after I decided just to accept it and work with Will’s sleep rather than fight it.

Thanks Melissa 🙂 I’ve been taking a cough suppressant for about a week now – running out of it too, so either I see the pharmacist again or I go to the doctor for her opinion

Give Will a kiss for me!
