when i had heard that La Maison de Patisserie joining forces with another company (and is now known as The Pastry Pantry) and was creating a new type of gluten free pastry, i almost fell over myself trying to clamber onto a computer to check when/where/how it was available.

since going back on (some) gluten, i had tried using regular puff pastry and it just didn’t taste right! i didn’t have a reaction but i definately prefer the gluten free pastry..

on a whim, i decided to Google the brand yesterday afternoon and hooray, it was available to buy via the Gluten Free Direct website! so at about 3.30pm yesterday I ordered a few packs to tide me over for a few months, and today at 1pm – they arrived!

i can’t wait to get baking 🙂 first up will be a chocolate tart, i think. then some sort of pie, using the puff pastry. then another apple pie. oh, my thighs will pay the price but you can’t keep this girl out of the kitchen!
