I ended up buying the HTC Hero to replace my older mobile phone – and it’s been a good experience with it so far!

I’ll make a proper post once I’ve spent a couple of weeks playing with all the features and using it properly, but so far I love the Twitter widget (Peep), love that it shows the weather straight up (I’m a bit of a weather geek..), love the 5MP camera (as opposed to my old 1MP), love the WiFi, love the browser, love the calender, love the easy access to things…. and it’s not bad looking too, really slick graphics.

As I mentioned before, I didn’t really want to spend that much, but given the fact we don’t upgrade our phones often and we’ve been saving our butts off this year – I wanted to do it right. I think we got it right!

p.s. yes I did buy this as a grey import – it’s not widely available in Australia yet (unlocked), but I’ve heard that they will be available outright in December
