in today’s news, they’ve reported the most annoying sound in the world is…… a child whining!
i don’t know about that… Jasper & Jovie do give us a run for their money when they want something, but is that the most annoying sound in my life? not by far. before they came along, i actually dreamed of the day where i’d have kids that would whine, or smell bad, or cry and cry for hours. to have kids at all, would be fine for me – with whine or not.
i think the most annoying sound in my world would be my own self-doubting thoughts (yes, it’s a sound to me, lol) – that’s what really gets me! that and knuckle cracking. but i think i’m coming to the point in my life where i’m ready to go on a serious adventure, a big change.
i’m 30, have a great marriage, great kids – kids that need my attention and who i want to give more attention to, we have some savings (could survive a couple of months) and i’m just ready. every passing day, i feel, is an opportunity lost. that there is something out there that doesn’t shrivel my insides and break my heart every morning at 8 when i start work for the day. that doesn’t make me cringe the hour before i ‘leave’ because i’m expecting to be asked to stay back and keep going..
i see these words, thinking like this and saying to myself ‘stay for the paycheck’ is the most annoying sound in my world, can you tell?
so apart from children whining, crazy thoughts and knuckle cracking – what’s your most annoying sound?
