so it’s Monday again, and before i get stuck into the routine (scramble to reply to emails, get some work done, take Jovie to playgroup, do the housework, dinner, at home therapy/play, bed), i’m buzzing from a great weekend!
saturday, Jasper and I headed off to Kids Day Out at the Sydney Showgrounds. to be honest, i thought the ticket price was too high (almost $100 for the 2 of us, which is why I didn’t take Jo) but coming away from it, it was worth that and more. there were tonnes of freebies (balloon artists, icecream, face painting, show bags, jumping castles and heaps of other stuff) but it also gave us the chance to see his (okay, our) favourites perform and then meet them afterwards.
Yo Gabba Gabba has been a part of our household since Jasper was born – and Jovie is currently O-B-S-E-S-S-E-D with them. she’s watching it now. she’ll watch it in the car on the drive to playgroup. it’s such a shame she didn’t get to do this –
i turned into a fangirl, to be honest. it was more exciting to me than it should be LOL

sunday, we attended a christening for our of my dear friend’s baby boy – the kid’s first church experience. Jasper couldn’t sit still, and Jovie’s foot got caught in between chairs so Regan and I alternated between pacing outside and sitting to watch the ceremony.

but we got through it, and entered what i like to call heaven – an air conditioned hall with a huge (and delicious buffet). after an amazingly emotional and beautiful speech from bub’s dad, we celebrated with our friends and came away with great memories
