thirty one

cake!

over the weekend, i turned 31 – 31! that number doesn’t scare me, alot has happened in 10 years for me to earn that number with grace & gratitude. i may still be in a quarter-life crisis, i’ll always probably be shy & need a shot of self confidence now and then and who knows what the year will bring, but i’m pretty happy with being 31.

thanks to everyone who submitted an entry for my birthday camera giveaway 🙂 four winners were picked at random (using random.org) – congrats to Alessandra, Caren, Nina and Phoe! the cameras & film will be sent out this week and i hope you have some fun with them!

i’m pretty sure that the older you get the more age doesn’t matter. it just means you’ve experienced, loved and been loved more really doesn’t it?

Thanks Helen x

C, you’re totally right. When I was 15, being 31 was scary. But now at 31, I think of how cool the journey was to get here. I hope other 15 year olds see it that way too. That you don’t worry about the destination of age so much as what you do with in the time to get there.

Thank you Carrie 🙂 x

Happy *actual* birthday!! I just got the Slim White Angel today & loaded it up with some of the film you sent; even took a few shots! I’m quick like that 😉
The 30s is one of the best decades – it’s a time of really sitting down and getting to know yourself & expanding boundaries. At least it was for me!
I wish you more discoveries & more cake this birthday year!
