time flies when you’re turning into a budgie

well, sorta. but time has gone past real quick this week, and i didn’t really do anything (which is a good thing).

one thing that i wanted sorted out though is my damn being sick all the time, and i think that it’s mostly to do with a couple of things – digestion and lactose intolerance.

i won’t go into those details but foodwise i’m taking up eating sunflower and pumpkin seeds aswell as cutting my meals back to bird sized and no eating after 10PM (i have a nasty midnight snacking habit i need to kick). lots more brown rice and fresh vege’s are coming my way aswell as trials of soygurt because i don’t think i’ve had a decent shot of calcium in months. things to cut out? soda and french fries. things to keep up? exercise and fruit snacking.

so that’s my new health kick, not that we ate terribly before but i absolutely hate being bloated, nauseated, headachy and icky enough for me to change things and cut things out. wish me luck!

chirp chirp.

yes, I just made a pact with myself to eat healthier and definatly less! I eat pretty healthy really, just waaaay too much sometimes.
I’m also going to *try* to work out more. Might join a dance class…

How weird!

I’m lactose intolerant too and just last night I was telling my boyfriend I’m officially cutting dairy out of my food intake. I used to convince myself that I could eat just a little, but that little always turns into a little more. So I’m gonna start taking my calcium again and stop eating so much that makes me sick.

About eight months ago I cut my soda intake to only on the weekends – two cans max. It’s amazing how much better I feel for doing so!

Good luck, Tracey!

Gee, that pic is just sooo wrong and free-kay! *lol* But cool. The soygurt sounds interesting. Wonder if they have it around here!

I had the same problems for years, but I went vegan in ’96 (for ethical and environmental reasons, as well as health). While I realize this isn’t for everyone, it sure helped me out a lot. Switching from dairy to soy has made my tummy a heckuvalot happier.
