after two HARD days of moving, we’re finally in our new apartment!
it’s nicer down here, feels more like a ‘home’ than the rental did. the nice new carpet is in (which makes it tempting to sleep on the floor), most of the boxes have been unpacked and the 56k net connection has been connected so i can at least get some work done (slowly) around here.
we’re all very tired, for both moving days the weather was very humid but we got through it quicker than i thought and we’re happy to be sitting on our new balcony, looking out to the city while we eat our mandatory take out and read the sunday paper.
the weekend has gone faster than i would of liked but i’m just glad the hard part is done!
tommorrow is the final inspection of the rental, aswell as the installation of a second phone line here… i still need to get quotes for the security screen door, we still need to find a decent sized (read ‘jumbo’) entertainment unit with ample storage and then it’s plain sailing and mortgage payments before we think of anything else.
ahh, it’s nice to be home (and to be a home owner).
