sydney airport, about 30 seconds before we burst into tears

my lil sister Hayley and my Dad left for Malaysia tonight – Dad’s coming home at the end of the month, and Hayley .. she’s moving onto London and then the rest of Europe on her own!!!!

i didn’t think i would cry at the gate again (your typical cliche goodbyes that I already shared with Regan when he went back to the States after his first visit here) but she started tearing up, so i started tearing up and i couldn’t get out my ‘see you laters’ before Dad bundled her through the gate.

she’s hoping to stay the full 2 years (that you can get on her visa) but everyone’s betting she’ll be back in 3 months – haha! as long as she enjoys herself and does what she needs to do, i say. i want her to at least stay for the snowy christmas over there! and hopefully she’ll update the blog i set up for her, once in a while

needless to say i’m bummed and i’ve already warned Regan that i’m going to eat my blues away – starting with the krispy kreme we picked up at the airport. the 56k connection has been less than 56k (more like 10k at times) so the rest of the week i’ll probably be moping around like a sad panda while buying more and more unnecessary furniture from ikea, freedom and anywhere else that take phone orders; then distract myself with an old 35mm slr Dad gave me on the weekend.

now where’s my original glazed …

oh YEAH; i forgot that about 56k. mine never connected even close to that. most of the time i connected at like.. 36kb or something. ;_;

the blog for your sister looks cute 🙂 i hope she updates too, even though i don’t know her lol, because i like travel stories.

wee i hope she has fun, and i hope you are ok! (krispy kreme, mm, can always cheer someone up. you should heat them real quick in the microwave or something so it’s as if they were freshly baked at the place – they are so good that way, they practically melt when you eat them!)

Good luck Hayley!! And nothing wrong with crying at the airport, I do it all the time! Mostly when getting on the plane because I HATE flying.

awww! 🙁 Nothing wrong with crying at the airport, I’ll probly be crying in a few months when my best bud moves away with her hubby (i’ve known her for like 10+ years)…

PS – I think I’m gonna stop by krispy kreme now….yuuuuuuummm

Wow. I really wish I’d be around to see you and Regan get together. I thought he was from Australia or something of that sort, not here!
